Korea FTA gets an indirect push

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has launched a new foundation that he says will help move a long-stalled trade agreement, the Canadian Press reported. The Canada Korea Foundation was announced as Mr. Harper toured Burnaby, BC, after meeting Korean War veterans. The foundation is being touted as a diplomatic and trade boost, especially in the area of energy exports and bilateral educational recruitment. Korea is Canada's seventh-largest trading partner when it comes to merchandise.
