Falling behind US in green tech

Departmental briefing notes submitted to Environment Minister Peter Kent when he took over the portfolio in January say that Canada is coming second to the US in reducing pollution from industry that is causing global warming, Postmedia News reported. The notes state that while the US Environmental Protection Agency will require certain new projects to adopt the best available pollution control technologies, the Canadian government has no such program.
