Keystone debate still on fire

A final public hearing over the controversial Keystone XL pipeline was held Oct. 7 in Washington, the Canadian Press reported. The US government is expected to announce its decision on the $7-billion TransCanada project before the end of the year. Protestors gathered the night before the hearing outside the building where it was to be held while others marched nearby. US State Department officials have been insisting they have been unbiased in their evaluation of the project.
