Thinner border possible: US

The top US customs official is calling for a thinner Canada-US border for those who are considered low-risk travelers or cargo carriers, the Globe and Mail reported. Commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection Alan Bersin said he wants to ease the process of entering the US for low-risk individuals and place more focus on those considered to be high-risk. This comes amidst the perimeter security and trade talks between Canada and the US.
