Negative CNOOC feedback

Conservative junior finance minister, Ted Menzies, said on Sept. 18 that he's received a lot of feedback about the proposed takeover of Canadian oil giant Nexen Inc. by China National Offshore Oil Corp—but most of it has been negative, the Canadian Press reported. Menzies said the concerns varied from general industry issues to concerns with takeovers from "a foreign company." The Canadian government is currently reviewing the $15.1 billion offer.
