US election processes liked

A recent poll shows Canadians are in favour of certain American election customs, and would support implementing them in Canada, Postmedia News reported. The poll by Ipsos Reid shows that while Canadians dislike US fundraising mechanisms, respondents approved of the town-hall style debates common to US elections, as well as more televised debates in general. Meanwhile, few respondents like the idea of removing campaign spending caps, or the idea of fundraising committees.
